We're happy to announce a new partnership between Parsimoni and Blackwing Space to make SpaceOS available on Blackwing Space's edge compute module powered by Raspberry Pi CM5.

Parsimoni is building SpaceOS to give mission operators a secure-by-design, efficient, and easy-to-use operating environment for managing software in orbit.

Blackwing Space is building affordable, American-made, modular nanosatellite platforms that reduce the cost and complexity of launching payloads into orbit. By bringing SpaceOS to Blackwing's CM5-powered edge compute module, the partnership gives customers a practical path to deploy, update, and manage multiple software packages across missions, from single satellites to constellations.

For Parsimoni, this expands the path for SpaceOS to support practical in-orbit software operations on emerging commercial nanosatellite platforms, including future access to the Parsimoni App Store for Satellites.  For Blackwing Space, it brings a stronger software layer to its edge compute offering, giving customers a more capable path to run flexible, secure workloads in orbit.

Together, this pairing of secure onboard software infrastructure and practical nanosatellite hardware provides a more affordable and accessible path to in-orbit AI and edge compute applications.

If you are building payload software, edge compute applications, or mission software that needs a practical path to orbit, reach out to Parsimoni or Blackwing Space
